Annual Labor Day Weekend Picnic
Neighbors! You are invited to join us at our most popular family event this coming Labor Day Weekend.

This year, OLHCA will provide:
Burgers and hot dogs

Lawn games
**NEW** Sno-cone truck, courtesy of board member and local realtor, Cyndi Burruss
**NEW** 4:30-6:00pm: Petting zoo (2 alpacas, 1 dwarf goat, 1 ball python, 1 gecko, 2 bunnies!)
**NEW** City of Fairfax Fire Department will bring a fire truck
Activities for the kiddos
Everyone who has paid their 2020-21 OLHCA membership dues ($25) on or before 9/4/21 will be entered into a raffle for prizes from local merchants. If you are not sure if you have paid, we will have a list to check at the picnic.
Instructions on how to join or renew are at the very bottom of this post. You will be able to sign up and pay at the picnic as well.
What to Bring
Please bring your own chairs/blankets and a side dish, snack, or dessert to share
COVID-19 Considerations
We will be spacing food stations and activities to allow for social distancing.
Please consider bringing a dish that can be single-serve and avoiding more family-style dishes.
For example:
Pre-cut brownies or cupcakes vice a pan of brownies or whole cake
Single bags of chips instead of a communal bag
Want to avoid duplicates or get some inspiration?
Masks are welcome.
RSVP
While you do not need to RSVP to attend this event, we would like to get a sense of how many people plan to attend, given that we have taken a year off and are still in the midst of a pandemic. For instance, we had much *greater* attendance than in years past at our 2020 Halloween Parade! We want to be sure we have the right amount of supplies on hand. If you don’t know what food you are bringing, that’s OK!

How to Join OLHCA
Fill out the membership online and bring payment to the picnic or get it to the OLHCA Treasurer before September 4th. Filling out the form online saves us much data entry work. There are paper forms available as well, if needed. Look for one in your latest copy of the FAX Courier!
The annual membership cost is $25, payable by cash or check. Checks should be made out to “OLHCA”.

While we are not accepting online payments at this time, you may use your bank's bill pay option to mail a check, but be sure to include a memo so we can connect the payment to your form!
